9th February 2010 was the day when Yahoo commented on Google Buzz (social networking product product from Google), and said Google is late to the party.
Yahoo first launched Yahoo Updates – a social feature about one and a half years ago which had allowed the people to interact online- according to a statement issued by Yahoo. Yahoo Buzz , a component of Yahoo Updates was released in November 2008.

Google Buzz, As introduced by Google is being considered as a "news feed" by the search engine giant that will be integrated with Gmail. The Google Buzz will allow users to share links, videos, photos, and updates with friends. Updates are integrated into the Gmail inbox, and Google also introduced a mobile version.
Instead of suing Google over the Buzz name Yahoo concentrated on its updates.Yahoo did not cleared whether it would sue Google over the Buzz name or not . But rather , it pointed to Yahoo Updates, which now plays host to more than 200 Yahoo and third-party sites, like Flickr, Twitter, YouTube, and Yelp. The social components added to Yahoo Mail in August 2009 were also highlighted.
